The draw will take place once we have reached our minimum target of R80 000,00 and the international travel ban has been lifted.

The funds received will be distributed amongst our staff members at Lar do Ouro Lodge and Sapphire Sands Restaurant - 20 pax. This will help over the next few months to support the families in need until the tourism sector has recovered.

Community:

Our businesses are fully involved in the community of Ponta do Ouro.

Since the opening of the new road from Maputo to Ponta do Ouro all the businesses have had to step in and provide for infrastructure in the village as the government does not assist the operators in running the village.

All businesses assist with the building and renovations of schools, children’s play park and library for the children to go to after school while their parents are still working.

Currently our local families in our region are taking major strain as Southern Mozambique relies entirely on tourism.

Since the 12 March our borders have been closed to any National and International Travel.

Our region is very seasonal and the loss of income for our community has been a major blow.

In all our life time we have never experienced the amount of poverty amongst families as what we are currently experiencing.

We ask your help in supporting us to support the local community that rely on us, any donations are welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
