Whilst all our children have been on lockdown, the playing fields in the Cape Winelands haven’t been level.

Children from more affluent homes have had access to devices, data, and educated or involved parents that have been keeping their learning on track, with online assistance from dedicated teachers committed to supporting both the learners and their caregivers.

Many, however, in our less privileged communities, have had few – if any - of these luxuries.

Lockdown may have set them even further behind than they were before. Lockdown may have set them even further behind than they were before.

And as our pre-school children prepare to return to their Early Childhood Development centres, we are calling on your help to supercharge their learning and brain development in a way that is both fun and effective.

With your help, Stellenbosch NGO The Reach Trust can achieve its goal to get high quality, play-based learning material into the hands of 5,000 disadvantaged children for the latter part of 2020.

In our drive to raise R250,000 to reach these 5000 children, we are asking you to donate just R50.

Your R50 donation will sponsor a pre-school child in the greater Stellenbosch area** through access to our innovative brain-stimulation game called Finding Thabo.

Over a 5-month period, each child will receive 5 new activity-filled picture with prompts to help caregivers take them through concepts essential to early learning, providing them with the building blocks they need to succeed once they reach formal education.

Please consider sponsoring a child, or many children, knowing that your donation will help us to bring accessible, quality early childhood stimulation to our young children in a nurturing care environment.
