Lilayi Lodge is delighted to announce our first wine tasting of 2020, featuring Bosman Family Vineyards. Angela Jordaan from Bosman will be travelling to the Lodge for two evenings in April to present guests with a number of their award-winning, fair-trade wines.

About Bosman:
This is an 8th generation family story of vine-to-wine devotion to responsible, artisanal winemaking. Since 1707 (before the US was founded!) the Bosman family has been practicing a deep commitment to people and nature. In 2008, the family initiated the largest land reform transaction to date in South African wine history, providing their full time employees with a 26% share of the business and vineyards. In 2009, Bosman received official Fair Trade accreditation and were recognized as the 2015 winner of the International Wine Challenge Fairtrade Trophy. The winery is known particularly for their special vineyard selections, masterful blending, old vine Chenin Blancs, and Pinotage. The wines are skillfully made in their 260 year old cellar.
Buying Wine by the Case:
Please note that guests will be able to place orders for cases of Bosman wine on the evening of the wine tasting with cash or card, thereby guaranteeing a maximum lead time of 6 weeks on orders.
