Christie Craig is part of the African Crane Conservation Programme with the Endangered Wildlife Trust/International Crane Foundation. Her research focuses on the Blue Cranes of the Western Cape, looking for answers to the question: “What is the future of the Blue Crane in South Africa’s Bread Basket?”. This research is being written up as a PhD at the FitzPatrick Institute (UCT). When Christie is not watching cranes, she enjoys birding and working on her fynbos garden at her home in Noordhoek.
