Leading Change effectively in your organisation
Leading change in one’s organisation can be extremely difficult as employees are often resistant to change and fearful of its impact. Constant progressive change is crucial however for the growth of any organisation.
How do you then as a leader manage change in your organisation in a way that you get employee buy-in? How do you make staff feel excited about change and how do you make them feel safe in the process? How do you develop an ethos and culture of constant improvement through the change management process?
These issues will be explored in a workshop run by Dave Newby from DNA Consultancy, a company specialising in change leadership. David has facilitated the development and implementation of various models of change in a range of NPOs both locally and globally.
Our Workshop Facilitator:
David Newby has worked in the social sector for over 30 years. He served as a Methodist Minister for 17 years, 15 of which were in Central city churches in Johannesburg and Cape Town. He has a history as a social activist and was involved in the End Conscription Campaign, Gun Free South Africa and the District Six Museum. Since, David through his company DNA Consultancy (www.dna-consulting.co.za) he has worked as an organisational development consultant to clients in the social sector across the globe. He is also a visiting lecturer at USB-ED, the public executive development company within the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) where he presents courses for leaders of non-profit organisations and for leaders in the education sector.
