ABOUT

The acclaimed Ingoma Choir, from the Imizamo Yethu community in Hout Bay, was set up in 2017 as a privately sponsored initiative to celebrate the beauty of African choral and to harness the power of song as a route to social upliftment.

As well as hosting several sell-out concerts in Hout Bay and Constantia, they have performed at numerous weddings and other events, appeared on TV twice, and sung live at the KFM K-Day as backing vocalists for Majozi. They are fresh from a prestigious private performance at Gondwana Game Reserve near Mossel Bay where they performed at their Conservation Gala to mark World Rhino Day. Their unaccompanied vocal harmonies mix power and beauty and showcase the best of South African choral with a sprinkling of adapted Western and have earned the tagline #GoosebumpsGuaranteed.

The choir's founder, Tanya Blacher, says "We are excited to travel over Chapman's Peak to perform in our neighbouring community of Noordhoek for the first time! We can't wait to spread our unique, soulful joy and backstory in the beautiful setting of Cape Point Vineyard!"

Tickets are R350 and include canapes, cheeseboard and a glass of Cape Point Vineyards wine.
