ABOUT

Discover why this treeless savannah became fastest growing landlocked city in the world.

As we take to the streets we explore the former mining camp of Ferreirasdorp, - with it's 3 bars and 2 brothels per person.

Travel along pedestrianised Main Street to revel in the splendor of the amalgamated mining houses and relive the opulence of the Randlords.

We will make our way up Harrison street to flirt with the astonishing architecture, that is so out of place in Africa.

A stroll up Historical Commissioner street will take us past some of the most prestigious bank in town, after which we will reach Market square, where, until today, you can purchase fresh produce from local vendors.

Our tour ends in the Historic Rand Club with a light lunch - this club is usually only open to members, so getting access is a special privilege .

The walk is about 6km and 2 hours in duration.

The fee includes: Transport from and back to Rosebank, Water bottle, Snack and light lunch in the club.
