JESUS FESTIVAL OF JOY

13 - 18 October 2019

Die Braak, Stellenbosch

THE FESTIVAL WE ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

A festival celebrating the goodness, grace and mercy of God in our lives, especially over our town, Stellenbosch. Two keywords that make this festival an event of note are: CELEBRATION & EXCELLENCE!

The Festival has the generous ambition to introduce a level of excellence in serving God through our talents and gifts in song, dance, workshops, testimonies, books and visual arts.

Local and domestic artists, ministers and worshippers sold-out to God and pureness of heart will participate.

The Festival is for everybody and anybody that wants to celebrate God. It aims to represent the Body of Christ and is inter-denominational, as is the organising committee.

All the events will take place in a big marquee tent on Die Braak, Stellenbosch. There will be teachings / testimonies / book discussions in the mornings, workshops in the afternoons and music celebrations in the evenings.

You will be able to buy wonderful products from christian vendors and "Jesus Festival of Joy" will also have its own items for sale. A special memento with our logo on.

We would love for you and your family to join us at a festival that was organised by God, using normal people with many shortfalls, to fellowship and rejoice in unity.

The spirit of prophecy - Elizabeth Campbell, Prophetic Art - Ilse Kleyn

Wed, 16 Oct 09:30 AM - Wed, 16 Oct 12:30 PM

Elizabeth Campbell
Elizabeth Campbell is a well-known author, artist and motivational speaker.  Colourful in more ways than one, what with her art works, her best seller book called THE CHOICE, now being made into a movie and her fascinating testimonial teachings about Abba’s festivals.  All a great combination as she shares with us her extra-ordinary journey on the Wednesday morning and on Shabbat eve during this week of our JESUS FESTIVAL OF JOY.  A speaker you don’t want your newly saved friends and family to miss.

Ilse Kleyn
Ilse was born in South-Africa and won her  1st art competition when she was 6 years old and her love for art was born.  Due to sad circumstances, her mother and father also got divorced at that time and she grew up with her mother.
It was her dream to study art. But her father persuaded her otherwise. In 1990 she joined the Police as a Police Artist. She relocated to Cape Town and here she met her husband and they started a family. During this time she studied her Police diploma and soon was promoted to Captain. When the two babies got bigger, Ilse picked up on her nearly forgotten dream of becoming an artist.  Ilse’s husband saw potential and took her work to galleries. The demand for her work was getting more and she had to make a choice.  She chose her dream and left the Police in 2006.
With the help of her heavenly Father, she proved that doing what you were born to do is a far better way to earn an income. Today she is also the owner of a Prophetic Art Gallery called Boomhuis (Treehouse) in Stellenbosch and talk at various groups and organization.

Music celebration - Mervis van der Merwe

Wed, 16 Oct 07:00 PM - Wed, 16 Oct 09:00 PM
Mervis van der Merwe

Mervis is very strong in the area of prophetic music flowing with the Holy Spirit in spontaneous songs, the Song of the Bride and the Song of the Bridegroom and many other aspects of prophetic music. His desire is to know the heart of God with true intimacy and seek His face in worship.  This he does with Gods grace and has the ability to move hearts closer to God and into the throne room.
Mervis has also written many songs and is currently busy developing Afrikaans prophetic songs, which is what God is releasing in a new wave into the church. Mervis spends hours in spontaneous worship and this has developed a keen sense of what the Holy Spirit requires in worship.  This comes through when Mervis ministers and people are aware of God and His presence in a different way. His music opens people's hearts to worship.
There is no limit to the vision that Mervis has for music.  His music is being used in many ways and many situations to show God's heart to His people.  God loves our worship and He is giving us gifts in the shape of worship leaders to show us how to worship Him in Spirit and truth.
Worship is a lifestyle and not an event.

Workshop: Living Worship - Rolene Daniels

Thu, 17 Oct 02:00 PM - Thu, 17 Oct 04:00 PM
Rolene Daniels

Rom 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Barakhah = Blessing (Hebrew)
The vision of the Barakhah Dance Ministry is to worship God through dance. The ministry was birth in 2016 as a mother-daughter ministry. The ministry was transformed by Yeshua into a ministry for young adults. Young adults from different denominations and backgrounds were touched through dance as worship. Broken, confused and searching for their identities, they were exposed to the beauty of worshipping God. Barakhah became more than just a dance ministry, we became family in Jesus Christ. New identities, visions, gifte and purposes were birthed. Healing took place and young adults were restored and renewed.
This ministry is so much more than dancing with flags. It is worship on all levels of Yeshua our King.

Private singing & piano lessons forms part of his everyday life as he contributes in giving back to the community where he grew up.
His awe-inspiring prowess with the piano, his pure yet strong vocal input that he brought with him from his culture and  contribute greatly to the vibrancy that is quintessentially ZAMAR.
In addition to performing with ZAMAR, Kevin regularly takes to the stage as the accomplished solo artist that he is. He also composes vibrant vocal and instrumental music.
Kevin has performed with an imposing list of well known South African artists, including Emo Adams, Loyiso & Zwai Bala, Alta Joubert, Robbie Wessels, Shaun P, Black Coffee, to name a few.

Charl Folscher

Charl grew up in church from a young age and his love for music and writing songs has always blended well with his other passion of visual storytelling through photography and film. He recently returned to South Africa after 6.5 years in the States where he also recorded a worship EP in Nashville which was produced by Daniel Ornellas from Tree63.
Life as I see it boils down to this. An all powerful, holy and sovereign God created us and all of everything ever. He gave us everything and we turned around and rejected His goodwill and ultimately His love. Instead of turning His back on us He pursued us and devised a plan through which we can truly be in relationship with Him. He did not leave us and never will. Even when we killed His Son He used it to save us. In fact He killed His own Son through us so we can live in every promise He made for us.
We didn't go in search of God. He came to us.
