Join us for an evening of live entertainment, with Sonic sails and Phoenix Fire, Sonic Sails are a performance Duo with Hanle Barnards ( Vocalist, Violinist and D.J. ) and Composer and guitarist De Wet van der Spuy.
Hanle Barnard has D.J.'d under the name silver girl at several Clubs, events and festivals around Cape Town. She also Plays open format and house music incorporation Violin and vocals.
Hanle is also know for acting parts in productions like Meerkat Maantuig, Danz, Modder en Bloed, Boland Moorde, The prisoner, Die yl 2, Spreeus and has won numerous acting and performance awards.
De Wet van der Spuy joined the house scene with guitar and live sample performance and also writes original music for Sonic Sails.
While being involved in projects ranging from experimental electro house, he is also involved in various album productions and writting music for Multi Media, Radio and T.V.
Phoenix fire are a truly amazing performance, with Fire Dancers that will perform the following: Fire Poi, Fire Staff, Double Fire Staff, Fire Fans, as well as Fire breathing
the Drummers will incorporate Djembes, Congos, Bongos, Marimba, Digeridoo and other hand percussion.
the event will start at 17:00 at 24 Robertson street Ermelo. bookings are essential, ticket sales are limited to 100 people for this event.
A cash bar will be available the evening and in Makou Restaurant we will have a limmited menu available, Bottomless Blessings Coffee Roastery will also be open on the evening, as well as Yum Yum Deli, Boekenhout Bookstore, and La Vita Leather shop will also be open forr the event. earlier the day there will be a neighbourhoods market that will flow into the evening!
