FAMILY Hike at Kliprivierberg Nature Reserve, 3 March, 7:30am

Distance: +-8km

Duration: +-3.5hours (Depending on the group fitness).

Degrees of difficulty: Easy

Registration from 6:45am

The hike will start at 7:30am

The 680ha nature reserve is home to 650 species of indigenous plants and trees, 170 bird species and is one the largest nature reserves in the Johannesburg metropolitan area.

There is a wide variety of fauna in the reserve including larger game such as zebra, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, blesbok, springbok, mountain reedbuck and Duiker. Some of the smaller animals found in the reserve are Porcupine, Hedgehog, Scrub Hare, Slender and Yellow Mongoose, Small Spotted Genet, Tree Squirrel, Dassie (Rock Hyrax), Black Backed Jackal, Cape Fox, African Civet, Cape Spotted Otter, Cape clawless Otter. For any nature lover, the reserve is a treasure trove!

Train by Nature Tickets:

R50 per Adult / R30 per Child U/18

This includes the following:

-A guided hike;

-A number of animals including steenbok, reedbuck, duiker & over 250 bird species

-A small gift is awarded to all finishers.

MAPS / DIRECTIONS WILL BE SENT ONE WEEK BEFORE HIKE.
