Big Green Mamba Dream press release:

" It’s been 10 years since the start of the club, and with the release of ‘Big Green Mamba Dream’ the band are excited and energized. No strangers to the local rock ‘n roll scene, Shadowclub won the 2012 SAMA for best rock album with ‘Guns and Money', an album that included the chart topping singles 'Good Morning Killer' and 'Guns & Money'. The follow up SAMA nominated ‘Goodbye Wild Child' featured the top 40 track 'Melanielectriclove'. Back then, the band toured extensively, headlining every major South African music festival as well as touring in Russia, Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia. Looking to pursue different endeavors, the band took a break from Shadowclub and life on the road.

With a rekindled energy 2 years later, the creation of ‘Big Green Mamba Dream’ happened organically, with the natural ease and enjoyment usually only felt by bands just starting out in the garage. The 7 track collection of new songs was written, arranged and recorded in between shows over a 3 day stint at Kill City Blues Studios in Cape Town and mixed by drummer Isaac Klawansky. The result is the evolution of a band that has done a lot of growing up and calming down. They no longer seem to be rushing their performances, rather opting to hang back and enjoy the taping of songs created and played for the first time just days before.

Shadowclub are excited to release the new music to their fans, who have been waiting eagerly since the release of ‘Goodbye Wild Child’ in 2013. "
