Robby Collins:
Considered one of the most prominent faces on the SA Comedy scene, this award-winning comedian, born and raised in Durban, has played to some of the biggest audiences in SA, with appearances at ‘The Heavy Weight Comedy Jam’, ‘Kings and Queens of Comedy’ and ‘Comedy Central Live at Parkers’ (as seen on TV!) to name just a few.
Collins was personally selected as Trevor Noah’s opening act at over 80 of Trevor’s shows across the country!
He earned back-to-back nominations for “Breakthrough Act of the Year” at the 2011 and 2012 Comics Choice Awards, and even received a highly coveted Emmy Nomination for his writing on Late Night News with Loyiso Gola.
His first Solo Show – ‘This Bushman’s Crazy’ (2014) – earned him a highly coveted Standard Bank Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival.
His latest Solo Show – ‘Son of Carol’ (2017) – was a sold-out success across the country!
Charming, handsome and undeniably funny, Collins has the whole package!
Stuart Taylor (Cape Town):
With his unique blend of stand-up comedy and magic, Stuart Taylor is by far one of SA’s top entertainment acts.
He has been performing stand-up comedy for the last 17 years and is a veteran of the varied comedy venues across South Africa.
Internationally, he has performed to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Berlin International Comedy Festival, New Zealand International Comedy Festival and the Montreaux Comedy festival in Switzerland.
Taylor has written, produced and performed no less than 9 one-man shows that have toured across South Africa!
His most noted and famed shows include Techni-Coloured, Learner Husband, & Money’s Too Tight to Mention.
Some of these solo performances have scooped various awards including the prestigious Ovation Award & Overall Best Comedy award at the National Arts Festival, and the Show Time Award for best solo performance.
The man is pure comedy class!
Rory Petzer:
Port Elizabeth-born Rory Petzer is the Executive Producer of East Coast Drive and is currently building a reputation as one of KZN's most prolific comedians/MCs: this guy pops up everywhere!
A high-energy social commentator, Rory’s quick-witted humour is relatable and current.
A prolific writer of satire and comedy, you will seldom see Rory perform the same material twice!
He is completely at home on stage, whether performing in a pub full of sailors, at a black tie corporate event or at a rowdy golf day.
He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in the business and on some of the biggest comedy stages, including ‘Kings and Queens of Comedy’ (2016 & 2018) at the Durban ICC.
Rory has also hosted record-breaking music events such as Jeremy Loops, UB40 and Splashy Fen.
