John Ellis:

John Ellis is a singer-songwriter from Durban, South Africa. John led his band Tree63 to international acclaim as the band’s singer, guitar player and award-winning songwriter. As a solo artist, he has been nominated for a SAMA award and has released five solo albums.

Carla Conrad:

Carla is a Singer/Songwriter, with versatility in genres ranging from soft rock, folk-pop and adult contemporary. With the use of sincere vocals coming from a deep experience of living, she invites you to a universe of raw and expressive storytelling. 

Her recent performance on the live TV show “Expresso” in January showcased her talent, while her song reaching the top 6 on Algoa FM in November 2023 earned critical acclaim for its infectious melody and powerful vocals, resonating deeply with audiences and climbing local radio charts in the Eastern Cape. As described by Matt Mercer after her last performance at Cafe Roux, “Carla’s music is sublime, channeling a bit of Joan and a bit of Janis, Sheryl Crow, and Julia Stone. She is a rock and roller mixed with intriguing fragility. Watch her fly.” Plug into Carla Conrad’s music and witness her soar.
