Chief Kingsley, a respected elder from the Gorachouqua Tribe, will be your guide through the sacred landscapes of Kalk Bay, offering an intimate glimpse into the spiritual heritage and natural wonders of this cherished coastal jewel.

  • 9:00 AM - Sacred Assembly at the Iconic Kalk Bay Train Station: Commence our expedition as we gather at the legendary Kalk Bay Train Station, aiming for a timely departure at 9:00 AM or 9:30 AM.
  • 9:30 AM - Welcoming Rock: After a serene 20-minute walk, arrive at the Welcoming Rock, a site steeped in reverence and significance. Take a moment, approximately 5 minutes, to soak in the spiritual aura of this sacred space.
  • 10:00 AM - First Cave Exploration: Embark on a journey to the first cave, a mere 10-minute walk from the Welcoming Rock. Here, amidst the mountain's embrace, pause to replenish your energy, hydrate, and express gratitude for the sanctuary of nature.
  • 10:30 AM - Traverse Mountain's Edge: Navigate the rugged terrain under the expert guidance of our tour leader. As you traverse the mountain's edge, revel in the majestic panoramas while prioritizing safety at every step.
  • 11:00 AM - Whale Watching Point: Pause at the Whale Watching Point, a sanctuary where whales grace the bay with their presence. Take 5 minutes to bask in the tranquility and contemplate the beauty of nature.
  • 11:15 AM - Second Sitting Area: Proceed to another designated sitting area, a brief 5-10 minutes away. Here, amidst the serenity of nature, engage in quiet reflection to deepen your connection with the environment.
  • 11:30 AM - Shaman's Space Experience: Arrive at the Shaman's Space for a transformative spiritual session led by our guide. Immerse yourself in the storytelling and spiritual ambiance for approximately 30 minutes, connecting with the ancient energies of the land
  • 12:00 PM - Trappies Kopp Cave Visit: Descend into the depths of Trappies Kopp cave through the mountain's crevices. Explore the cave's ancient paintings, partake in ritualistic practices, and absorb the profound historical significance embedded within its walls.
  • 1:00 PM - Return Journey Commences: Embark on the return journey to the starting point, following the designated trail. Allow ample time to descend and savor the beauty of the landscape along the way.
  • 3:00 PM - Tour Conclusion: Conclude the tour by 3:00 PM, reflecting on the enriching experiences and cherished memories forged during this exploration of Kalk Bay's mystical trail.



What to Bring:



  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate attire for the morning chill and hike.
  • Water bottle for hydration.
  • A heart open to receiving the teachings and blessings of the Khoisan.
