Biography – Neuer Kammerchor

This slogan, ‘If you want to go fast - go alone. If you want to go far - go together’  was encountered for the first time on their first tour through South Africa and Namibia in 2014 and has since become their motto. An ambitious southern German youth choir, founded by its director Thomas Kammel in 2005 has made a name for itself nationally and internationally with around 40 concerts a year. With regular international choir competitions, has brought their ensemble a number of awards in recent years - 22 gold medals and 2 silver diplomas from the competitions. The prospect of taking part in a major concert tour is an incentive for consistent rehearsal work and travelling within Europe, but also to Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Guatemala has been the highlights. This year, after 10 years, they resume their contacts from back then to Stellenbosch, George, Durban and Pietermaritzburg to deepen their encounters.
