Swiss Hotel School Charity Golf Day 2024

ABOUT

The Swiss Hotel School 2nd year hospitality students are hosting a charity Golf Day on the 17th of May at the Wanderers Golf course as part of our Supervisory practical module. The profits of the event will be split equally between the St Laurence Children Haven and the Swiss Hotel School bursary. St Laurence is based in Roodepoort to help underprivileged and abused children which provides them with educational programmes, food and shelter. The ultimate aim of Saint Laurence Children Haven is to reunite them with their parents once it has been established that they are able to provide a safe and healthy home for their children. As well as the Swiss Hotel School bursary fund to help students in crisis financially to pay for school fees. There will be a prize giving for the best performing golfers on the day, as well as an auction and dinner, selling hospitality and golf related experiences, the money will be given to charity. Sponsors will be involved in this event to help raise money. The 2nd year SHS golf day team aim to make this event a success, changing a lot of children's lives as well as gaining valuable experience on the planning, organizing and implementing of events which can help us within our careers.
