Welcome to the INSTOPP Vocational Rehabilitation Workshop of 2024, focusing on Work Hardening and Case Management. Join us on Friday and Saturday, the 17 - 18 May 2024, at the elegant Afrique Boutique Hotel in OR Tambo.


In this workshop, we delve into relatively new territories for Occupational Therapists (OTs), addressing the myriad of questions surrounding Work Hardening and Case Management. Our esteemed presenters will equip you with practical tools to navigate physical work hardening for various funders, including insights from the Department of Labour. Gain valuable insights into utilising gazetted work hardening codes and understanding the application of law in injury on duty cases.


But we don't stop there. Acknowledging the psychosocial barriers that often hinder successful work reintegration, we emphasise the collaboration of role players and provide clarity on the often elusive realm of Cognitive Work Hardening. Walk away armed with tangible methods to tackle cognitive challenges in the return-to-work process.


In today's landscape, OTs often find themselves advocating for the rights of employees. Gain confidence in representing your clients with a solid understanding of their rights and the legal framework supporting your recommendations. Negotiation skills are paramount in this arena, and we'll ensure you're well-equipped.
