This webinar will focus address consent requirements for health care professionals working with minors. We will address working in the health, as well as education and other secors. Consent in private vs public vs NGO sectors will also be addressed, as well as consent when working with seperated parents will also be discussed. The theoretical background to this webinar will be the Children's Act 38 of 2005, as well as various HPCSA Booklets and Guidelines.

This webinar will discuss the child's rights to confidentiality, parental rights to information as well as legislation (such as the reporting of abuse and the POPI Act)'s impact on confidentiality. We will discuss the responsibility that confidentiality places on the health care professional working with children in the health and education settion, as well as private vs government vs NGO sectors.
