Claire obtained her LLB Degree from the University of Pretoria in 2014. Due to her academic achievements, she was placed on the Dean’s Merits List during 2013 and 2014. She joined the Firm during January 2015 as a candidate attorney, initially in the residential property department, but has since branched out into other fields of property law, including commercial property.

Claire was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa during 2017 and continued to hone her skills and experience as a formidable litigation Attorney, attending regularly to appearances of both opposed and unopposed motion hearings in the High Court and the Magistrates Court alike.

Claire’s niche lies in eviction procedure in terms of the Prevention of Illegal Evictions from and Unlawful Occupation of Land Act No. 19 of 1998 (PIE Act), and more broadly, in terms of most other statutes relevant to property rights, including Consumer Protection law as it relates to letting of property, laws applicable to residential letting of property in terms of the Rental Housing Act and the Regulations thereto, and laws relevant to the rights and duties of Property Practitioners. Her substantive knowledge of Court procedure and practice coupled with her expertise in property law and evictions gives assurance that the rights of property owners are realised expeditiously and professionally.

Claire has most recently been promoted to a Management position as our Legal Manager, in terms of which she oversees our Legal Practitioners, Candidate Legal Practitioners and paralegals on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that each matter is dealt with to the highest level of care and degree of attention deserved.

Claire has a special love for our canine counterparts, and her only goal in life to become the person her dog thinks she is. Claire dreams of travelling to Japan one day to experience the colourful culture and cuisine of its people.
