Please join us at Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve!

Amazing hike right on your doorstep!

-Take a selfie with a zebra!!!

-Visit the beautiful Coedmore Castle!

-Visit the dam with abundance of birdlife!

-Check out the only wheelchair friendly hiking trails in Durban!

-Visit the old ruins!

and on top of all that, we will take you to an old/abandoned cemetery with lots of beautiful tombstones, also to the ruins of the old chapel!

Meet at 1pm at the KSNR car park (Lourire Picnic Site) .

Distance:

2 options:

4km OR 10km

Grading: Casual Hiker: Grade 2, Regular Hiker: Grade 1

Duration: 2-4 hours (this will depend on the groups pace)

Cost:

Adults: R119pp

Kids U13: R69pp

Incl. transport from Durban R299pp

What to bring:

snacks, water or cold drinks , a hat and a backpack.

Walking/hiking shoes or boots.

Spaces are limited!

Please note that this event is going ahead whether it rains or shines and will only be cancelled/postponed under extreme conditions (extreme heat/cold, hail or heavy rain). Bring a rain coat. a little bit of rain wont hurt anyone! and the bugs will stay away. ;-)

Please also note that we need min 10 confirmed bookings to go ahead with this event.. If quota is not met, event will be cancelled and refund will be processed.

Please note that Kenneth Stainbank NR charges a 60 rand pp (30 rand for kids) entrance fee when entering the reserve and this charge is not included on our fee!

Grading Of Hikes:

Grade 1 Easy. Minimal fitness required

Grade 2 Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness

Grade 3 Moderate. Physical fitness advisable

Grade 4 Strenuous. Physical fitness essential

Grade 5 Very strenuous - high level of physical fitness essential
