Details of the event:

Date: 12/05/2024

Time: 9am (late start so moms can sleep in a bit!)

Place: Alverstone Wildlife Park (Whatsapp for location)

Hike details:

Difficulty:

Regular hiker: Grade 1

Casual hiker: Grade 2

Distance: appr. 5-6km (shorter -2km- option for the elderly and for families with toddlers)

Duration: 2-3 hours

Cost: R199pp (U13-R99pp)

This fee includes entry fee to Alverstone Wildlife Park, chocolate for all the moms, picnic blankets (limited numbers on a first come first served basis)

also exclusive use of the venue.

What to bring:

snacks, water or cold drinks, backpack.

Walking shoes/takkies with good grip is a must! No flat shoes allowed! A hiking stick is recommended!

Some snacks and drinks for the picnic. Picnic blankets are provided on first come first served basis.

Braai will be lit after the hike (Please bring your own meat and drinks!)

Bookings STRICTLY via Quicket.

If event is cancelled due to bad weather, it will be re-scheduled and new date will be given.

Please also note that we need min 10 confirmed bookings to go ahead with this event.. If quota is not met, event will be cancelled and refund will be processed.

Grading Of Hikes:

Grade 1 Easy. Minimal fitness required

Grade 2 Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness

Grade 3 Moderate. Physical fitness advisable

Grade 4 Strenuous. Physical fitness essential

Grade 5 Very strenuous - high level of physical fitness essential
