ABOUT
The Johannesburg Bach Choir is back in full force! Throughout lockdown our intrepid conductor and accompanist kept the choir inspired and over the last year many new members have joined. We would like you to join us in celebrating the wonderful gift of music when we present our Magnificat! concert in November under the baton of our conductor Tim Roberts.
The audience will be treated to works of the prolific composers Handel, Vivaldi and Bach, as well as contemporary composers such as Karl Jenkins, John Rutter and Ralph Vaughan Williams. The Apple Green Orchestra and our resident accompanist, Ruth Coggin, will delight the audience with their accompaniment and instrumental numbers.
The talents of Ilze van Staden, who was the resident soprano at the Brooklyn Theatre from 2012 to 2014, will be showcased in our rendition of the Vivaldi Magnificat.
