ABOUT
Amaeshi Ikechi is one of many young musicians in the South African Jazz landscape, who have established themselves as successful session musicians, composers, and ultimately band leaders.
On the 7th of October 2023, he will launch his first studio recording titled “Travail”.
“TRAVAIL” pays tribute to the dynamic encounters and seasons of his life.
The tunes thereby featured, showcases his love for moving chord progressions, compound time signatures, and strong melodies”.
With the music, he intends to incite a fire of hope in every listener. “With every great dream and subsequent achievement, is a necessary battle to fight.
No success without a battle, and no victory without faith and hope”.
