Lina Rosa's epic poem LAMPEDUSA BEACH explores the stories and themes of migration. Using physical performance and sound, Lampedusa Beach tells the story of a raft full of refugees sinks in the glistening sea off the coast of Lampedusa. The refugees struggle in the water under the pitch-black night sky. Most of them drown, die; the gradual silence slowly indicates the breadth of the disaster.
