Great advertising is good, but good business is mindful marketing. Mindful marketing is about using creativity not only to communicate and resonate with the target market and multiple audiences, but to be conscious and considerate whilst chasing targets.

The panel discussion/conversation is with experts who understand the power and role that brands play in society:

Refilwe Maluleke Leads the country’s most strategy consultancy, Yellowwood. Refillwe has extensive experience working on both local and global brands. Her deep strategic knowledge and experience will help provide deep insights into the narrative of building strong brands that can be useful and impactful beyond the bottom line. Yellowwood understands value creation by developing strong brands that create strong businesses. Refiliwe will provide perspectives building a brand with strong equity, whilst adding value to society. How do we reconcile the two?

Zandile Mposelwa is spearheading Kellogg’s ® CSI programme called 'Better Days' which is the brand’s global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. It is Kellogg’s ® commitment to address the interconnected issues of health, food security and climate by creating Better Days for 3 billion people by the end of 2030. Zandile has been the driver for the initiative and therefore understands the power of building impact for people and communities. The audience will learn about the value of being focused and invested doing more than just selling products and services.

Mpho Lethoko is the Executive Head for Corporate Affairs at Sappi Southern Africa. In her role she leads strategies that enhance the reputational capital of the organisation whilst ensuring its license to operate. Mpho directs all strategic communication efforts within the business and her portfolio includes employee communications, government and community relations, social impact, public relations and reputational risk management in South Africa. The audience will gain expert insight into how organisations can strengthen their social impact efforts through diligent and well thought-out tactics and strategies.
