What to expect:

As we enter into the autumn season, our intention is to collaboratively cleanse the physical and emotional bodies, through connecting with the element of fire. As the sun begins to take her journey across the celestial equator, so too do we begin our shedding season.

We begin the day  together, learning about the emotional energy body, and how our emotions can become stuck in the body if not seen or released. Through the Taoist inner alchemy meditation, we explore our internal energetic system, and how it physically relates to our anatomy. We then move on to the practice, cleansing the organs through breathwork and the cultivation of a loving healing presence in the body.

We collaborate with IxCacao, as plant ally and introspective guide, well-known for not only her decadent and delicious flavor, but also for her potency in relation to opening the heart center. Cacao can, with the correct dosage, assist one in deepening their meditative experiences. Cacao is also full of antioxidants, which helps as an additional medium for removing emotional debri in the body. We share our experiences, stories and reflections together.

We take a break and enjoy a ‘Veld and Sea’ culinary experience of wild foraged and traditional foods, cooked on the fire. After our light and nourishing meal, we are resourced for the second half of our experience - Fire dancing!

As we experience the magic of playing with fire in the palm of our hands, we awaken our aliveness and remember our inherent nature. In preparation, we learn some techniques and tricks, moving and expressing as we become comfortable with our palm candles. We set our intentions before awakening the original fire - creating an ember by rubbing soft wood with hard and blowing the flames into life.

And so, we are ready to light our handheld flames…we dance, we play, we manifest, we witness and we enjoy!

Our firedance experience culminates in an intimate and inspiring fire theater performance by Selah and we close the evening with a nourishing soup around the fire.
