Join us for a laid-back evening of live music at our Summer Picnic as we kick off our 95 Year celebrations.
Come dressed in your brightest party outfit!
The evening entertainment includes the Micklefield Vocal Ensemble and Live Band: Ocean's Riff Featuring Amy Lu
"Oceans Riff" is a well-established local band, with 10 years experience on the Cape Town music circuit. They specialise in funk, jazz, pop/rock, blues and reggae. Oceans Riff's lead singer and guitarist, "Leo Letsparty" will schmooze you with his soft, rich vocals, and percussionist/backing vocalist, "Jean America" will dazzle you with his rhythm and gees.
They will be joined on stage by the fabulous "Amy Lu" who was recently reviewed as: "A powerhouse and dynamo on stage, with a perfect voice for rock and blues. There is no pretention here, just joy, love, enthusiasm and pure talent"
Needless to say, Amy Lu, together with Oceans Riff members, Leo and Jean, are a force to be reckoned with. Their joyful performance style sparks ample audience participation, and their song repertoire caters perfectly to the whole family, young and old alike.
