Earthing and Bonding with surge lightning protection

The purpose of this workshop is to ensure that electricians have a better understanding of earthing and bonding within a property. Special care is taken with surge + lightning protection when it comes to bonding the earth conductors to the system. This interactive workshop will help you to better yourself when it comes to lightning. We look at different types of lightning protection, surge protection, how lightning works and how to prevent devastating damage to life and property, and how to create an earth below 10 Ohm with a practical exercise.

We encourage all attendees to participate with discussions and exercises.

The workshop will be hosted by Braam Van Emmenis and a special guest, Gavin Quin, will also share his experience.

Attendance certificates will be issued.

Workshop will be from 8:00 - 16:00. Coffee, rusks, a light lunch and soft drinks included.

Drive North on the N1 towards Polokwane, take the Hammanskraal Boekenhoutskloof off ramp turn right and left after 300meters stay on the Rust de Winter road. Enter Dinokeng at Tau gate keep on the tar road till passed Safari mall and a cattle grid.
