In this mentorship session on OT stimulation groups, Lanése will share her expertise on the difference between stimulation groups and group therapy and when which one is appropriate.

 

She will further share her insights on planning and executing stimulation groups, considering the principles set out by the HPCSA and why this knowledge is crucial in delivering an ethical OT service.

About the presenter:

Lanése is the practice director at Lanése Knipe Occupational Therapy Inc and also an OT student supervisor at the Stellenbosch University. She has dynamic management and childhood development background and is in the process of completing her Sensory Integration qualification.

 

As the Western Cape Paediatric Practitioners’ Group vice-chairperson (previously chairperson), she get to learn from other therapists, network and share her passion for paediatric OT which she has been developingg since the beginning of her studies at Stellenbosch University in 2013.

 

She views herself as a hardworking, problem solver and detailed oriented leader with a passion for and extensive experience in early childhood development, working with children in various settings in collaboration with their caregivers and the rest of the team surrounding them to ensure their optimal development through effective teamwork.
