African beats band. The nine – piece outfit is so hot you can’t touch them, but you can feel them!

Lagos Thursdays (The new yam festival) brings you the music of Olufemi Koya – Nigerian Singer and

Saxophonist based in Johannesburg with his music style Highlife, Afrobeat and Jazz. Olufemi sees

himself as part of the new Africa on the move; where home is not just a place but multiplicity of

places and influences.

Olufemi Koya has performed and worked with Baba Maal, Angelique Kidjo, Yvonne ChakaChaka,

Pops Mohamed, Simphiwe Dana, Zonke among others. He has also shared a stage with Salife Keita,

King Sunny Ade, Youssou N’dou, Habib Keita and many more.

Join Olufemi Koya’s African Beats band on Thursday the 2 nd February 2023 at the Untitled Basement

as they celebrate the new yam festival and dish out fresh music from his coming album and the

previous albums.
