Ambrose Uren is a well-established South African standup comedian, writer, actor, producer and dancer.
Since his debut in the standup comedy industry in 2012, Ambrose has marked the scene by his unique playfulness and engaging storytelling signature. The Capetonian is no stranger to the stage, headlining in top South African comedy clubs, performed his first one-man-show “Don’t Google This” at the Joburg Theatre in 2017 and his second special “Balanced” over 15 times during the pandemic with the commitment to sharpen his writing and performance presence.
Through his extended artistic career, Ambrose Uren has featured on both local (“Montana”, SABC1) and international (“Honey 3”, Universal Pictures) productions, providing his unique mix of acting and dancing talents to the movie, TV and theatre industries.
He also recently wrote and acted for the humorous SABC2 TV show “Comedy Mixtape”, as well as performing a standup set about his journey as being vegan in South Africa.
After taking his third one-man show “Nothing to Lose” to the National Arts Festival, he is closing the year with a two night edition in the heart of Cape Town, at The Outlore.
