ABOUT

Planning, Planting and Playing in a Village Farmyard with Petrus Kammies includes Roosterbrood, Moerkoffie and a Gift from the Garden

As an avid gardener, Petrus oversees the vegetable garden, vineyard and orchard at In the End. Being intimately involved in the planning and planting, as well as, winemaking, Petrus has a wealth of knowledge regarding the tending of vines, pruning of fruit trees and the oversight of an edible garden.

As a regular supplier of fresh produce to various restaurants and food establishments in Stanford, as well as, one of the vendors at the Stanford Morning Market, Petrus is a well-known feature within the village, often sharing stories, plants and seeds with other gardeners and enthusiasts within the Village and wider area.

Two events will be offered on Friday 30 September, one late morning and one early afternoon, providing you with insight into the garden, the plants, the timing of interventions and tips and ideas to make your journey into village gardening and edible endeavours a fun and fulfilling activity.

Following the walk through the garden you will be treated to freshly made and delicious roosterbrood, cheese and jam, served with moerkoffie and receive a special gift from Petrus’s garden.
