HORIZONS PROJECT CHOIR Cpt Tour in concert with VIVOX VOICES

ABOUT

The Horizons Project choir presents a special concert, during their Cape Town Tour, of new South African choral works, that explores the nature of spirituality, soul and belief. The concept of spirituality and soul has been part of the human experience since the dawn of time. It has helped shape our inner narrative and understanding of the world around us! This special program is a collection of works, composed over the last 10 years, that reflect spirituality in both a sacred and secular narrative. Horizons Project Choir is conducted by Pieter Bezuidenhout.  

In concert with them will be Vivox Voices. This year Vivox Voices premièred Creator God by American composer Jonny Priano that was commissioned for the World Choir Games in 2019 that was unfortunately cancelled because of Covid. Audiences can also look forward to their rendition of Breyten Breytenbach’s poem, (soos van vlerke) composed by Franco Prinsloo as well as the all time favourite Northern Lights by Ola Gjeilo.
