The John’s are fronted by SA Blues legend ‘Doc’ John and John McGuinness, with the rock solid rhythm section - Graeme Abbott and Vince Lewis. 

They teamed up to “make music that’s good for the soul”.

John & Vince’s recent debut CD... “Finally...Greetings from Philadelphia” was well received. The single “History (Hiroshima & Nagasaki)” was play listed on several SA and international radio stations. RTE (Ireland’s biggest radio station) listed it in their Top 20 recommended new releases.

Doc John and Graeme need little introduction to SA music audience, they have played at most major SA music festivals and venues. Doc is known for his gravelly voice perfectly suited for the blues and Graeme for his rock solid drum grooves.

Vince played with various bands on the hotel/club circuit for about 30 yrs. He is a seasoned pro that has notched up about 5000 gigs.

John’s live streamed gigs (from his Blouberg home rooftop during full lockdown) attracted 100,000 viewers.

What to expect :

A mixture of original bluesy/rock/pop songs as well as some surprisingly melodic covers featuring all 3 voices in sweet harmony. Expect rhythmic rock grooves and a soulful feel (rather than blistering solos).
