ABOUT

There is no doubt that alcoholism and substance abuse is a stigmatised and shameful topic. Many people that I have worked with have struggled with the shame and guilt that this problem evokes. Even knowing someone can mean judgement and skinner in our South African society, and society at large.

This webinar is an educational webinar to soften the stigmatised perceptions around the disease. In this workshop I address the following topics:

What is alcoholism and addiction

How to identify when someone has a problem

What can people be addicted to?

How to go about an intervention and a lot more. I delve into my understanding of the disease and how to help those that may be ready for it.

The webinar is directed towards Coaches, doctors, therapists, family members and anyone else that may want to know more about this disease. It will be held via the Quicket streaming service and you are able to stay anonymous throughout the workshop if you feel so inclined. You will be able to chat to ask questions as I have enabled this feature.
