The Kitchen that Inspires the Elderly

About

The Kitchen that Inspires the Elderly is a community-based initiative to inspire women in underprivileged areas to go beyond their current situation & inspire women to be at the forefront of changing the narrative around underprivileged communities.

The goal for Cape Malay Foods is to become a beacon of hope for the community in the face of adversity. Established since September 2016 & surviving the COVID-19 pandemic,

Rhameez Galant has proved over & over again that with faith, perseverance & a powerful work ethic, any challenge or tough circumstance can always be conquered even when it seems impossible.

As a 70-year-old pensioner who is seen as a community leader & voice for those who feel unheard, her main goal is to continue expanding & providing a platform for underprivileged girls, women & the elderly within the Elsies River community. The Kitchen that Inspires the Elderly is a fundraiser which seeks to reach R200 000 as a donation target which would serve to continue the growth of the organization to ensure that Mrs Galant can continue contributing to the community that she sees so much potential in.
