Each event will feature stories from founders and entrepreneurs that have learned hard to learn lessons and have gained wisdom from their experiences.

Join us for an evening of plant-based business stories, dinner, and networking and meet like-minded individuals in an engaging space. Grow potential partnerships and synergies while enjoying a lovely evening with good food and people.

You do not need to live plant-based to attend. The stories shared apply to all realms of business.

Ticket price: R175, includes a plant-based dinner and goodie bag over the value of R350

The speakers for the evening:

Lexi Monzeglio – Lexi’s

Lexi Monzeglio is the chef and co-owner of Lexi’s Healthy Eatery.

She studied graphic design at the University of Johannesburg and worked in the corporate sector for five years. Since then she has been a food blogger, stylist, recipe developer, food photographer, and finally, a chef and business owner.

The overwhelmingly positive response she received for her cooking led to humble beginnings at the Joburg market, testing out at pop-up restaurants and food stalls and many catering jobs.

In 2018, Lexi met her business partner, Ezio Nichele, and together they founded and run four Lexi’s Healthy Eatery franchises across two provinces.

Recently, Famous Brands bought 51% of the Lexi’s brand, with massive growth and expansion of the brand on the horizon.

Sinenhlanhla Ndlela – Yococo Ice Cream

Sinenhlanhla Ndlela started Yococo in 2016 and is currently its CEO and taste creator. Yococo is a dairy-free artisanal ice cream brand based in Johannesburg and supplies to Cape Town and Durban.

She currently creates the recipes, produces and distributes the product. She has been named as one of the Top 200 Mail & Guardian young people in South Africa and has had her start-up story published in the Johannesburg edition of Startup Guide. In 2019 Yococo was also chosen by Investec as one of the brands to be in their program in Amsterdam.

She has hired a small yet efficient team and she is headed towards partnering with the big retailers in the country to distribute more ice cream. Soon she plans on penetrating the international market, more specifically Europe. She is passionate about job creation, especially for underprivileged youth in South Africa.

Ndlela has also worked as a published photographer and production assistant for a production company.
