Native Young is an award winning South African music collective led by Yannick Wilde and Mohau Moahloli. When asked how they would describe the project - the two say, "It's a constantly evolving tapestry of culture, music and togetherness"
Beginning in Cape Town as a home recording experiment for Yannick - Native Young has transformed into a super collective of rotating talent across Africa and Europe. A fusion of anthemic uplifting vocals, indie electronica and raw African rhythm - their live show is nothing short of spectacular. Recent accolades include over 2M streams on Spotify for 2021, A SAMA (South African Music Award) for 'Best Alternative Album' with 'Kings', smash single 'Erase' remixed by Black Motion coming in at #1 on the 5fm dance charts in South Africa and playing stand out sets at international festivals Fusion (Germany) and Lake of Stars (Malawi).
As for the future, Native Young will be releasing a brand new album 'Ashes' in 2022 and will be promoting this exciting new release in South Africa and Europe with an exclusive acoustic tour. The storytellers will celebrate their brotherhood with a stripped down show focused on raw emotion, infectious melody and African rhythm. Expect to laugh, dance, cry and sing during this captivating performance.
