In any artist’s journey, there comes a time where the totality of their life’s journey, culminates in a body of work reflective of the depth of their maturity. Such is the case with Afrikaaps hip-hop artist Jitsvinger’s album “Jitsonova Vol.1: Compos Mentis,” which launched on the 19^th of November 2021.

With his third studio offering Compos Mentis (having full control of one's mind) Jitsvinger explores a range of subject matters such as knowledge of self, taking back ownership of the Afrikaans language, celebration of culture, honoring those who came before us and an unapologetic immersion into the lyricism and boom bap that is Hip-Hop music.
