About the bands:
Sun Xa Experiment is an Ancestral spiritual Avant garde out the box group hailing from Gauteng and Durban South Africa born in 2014. A 7 piece live music band that caters a spiritual Ancestral sound that tells of stories of who we are as the global community without race colour or nation. With their music written in IsiZulu, Sesotho and English their presence on stage is felt through their performance that leaves you in healing mode. What they give to people during their performances is not only music but also part of it is a spiritual journey into self-discovery, more is connecting with your ancestors, reminder of who you are and where you are from as a human being. Their sound which they see as medicinal “Umculo Umuthi” is a 6 track journey through an hour set. Sun Xa Experiment gives a consultation performance which is a sound you do not want to miss.
Time Unveils God better known as TUG is new fearless and provocative band that pushes the boundaries of hip hop music with their hard hitting lyrics which are delivered in both English and vernacular, over live instruments. TUG maybe relatively new as a band, but the members boast a wealth of skill and experience and seamlessly make music when they are together. With Darkie Umnt’Omnyama and Tony Dangler at the fore with the vocals and 3 masked (unidentified) members playing the drums, acoustic and bass guitars making the band 5 members in total. Our aim as TUG is to awaken people and remind people of their true identity, an identity which is something beyond this human condition that we are all bound to at present. The music is present, past and future spoken in word and laid over instrument, it is a journey back to self.
Miss Morena is a rapper and activist from the South Africa. Miss Morena is a warrior, fighter, and mother, that uses her voice to inspire change.
Cami Scoundrel and the Feminists find themselves somewhere between political punk, spiritualism and healing afro folk pop while their frontwoman flows through life in her usual non-linear fashion embracing a culture of regenerative and spiritual revolution on the way.
