My daughter, Simone Prienka Maharaj is on her 3rd year of B.Ed. She is studying through Varsity college. Northdale, Limpopo

Thus far in her journey towards this degree has proved outstanding results. Last years she passed with 9 distinctions..

This year she was chosen for a Top VIP award at the institution. 

Because of her outstanding results, she qualified for the maximum bursary at her institution, but this is not sufficient to cover her fees this year. 

My plight as a single mum of 2 daughters has been anything but easy. I simply cannot fund Simone's studies month to month. 

My appeal for this great teacher in the making is to please assist me to raise the balance of the R20 000.00 that is needed to pay for this years fees.

Failing to pay, i dread to think of the consequences.

I have tried desperately to get further funding, and even a student loan, but this has been an endless disappointment.

Simone's teaching experience at 2 local schools and 1 rural school was received with extremely high recommendations from the principal, fellow teachers and even the learners. 

Further to this, she has now embarked on tutoring students to build their capacity if areas of learning that they are struggling in. She does this as a means of giving back to the community and this just enhances her passion to want to pour her knowledge, skills and expertise to learners. This is all done in her free time.

I know that Simone will by far excel as a teacher and I am confident that this vocation of hers is one that not only builds children, but in itself it brings out the best in her as well.

I appeal to you to assist her to help build our nations future leaders.
