Dave & Pops return to movie makers' Meg & Paul's lovely home in Claremont to launch their new album SANDANCE! THE SOUNDTRACK combined with a screening of this multi-award winning documentary about the rituals and dances of these beautiful people.
Dave performs on a ten string harp guitar, Caribbean steelpans, a classical guitar and a modified Paraguayan harp. Pops plays kora (African Harp) and kalimba (thumb piano). They have done over 200 concerts together.
As the sun sets, we'll enjoy some veg food (included) and drink (BYO), followed by the live music and the screening of SANDANCE! After a short break, we have a Q & A with the film maker Richard Wicksteed (a fascinating guy who's been making documentaries about the San People for 25 years) and then finish off with some more live music from Dave & Pops.
Please bring a cushion or camp chair (and drinks). Capacity is extremely limited (covid ... yes... also, it's a private house) so book early to avoid disappointment. The courtyard makes for a well ventilated space, please wear a mask, we provide sanitiser.
