Suther Peak Scramble
Sun Oct 31, 07:30 - Sun Oct 31, 12:30
Sandy Bay Parking (Eustegia Way, Hout Bay)
ABOUT
Suther Peak offers spectacular views across Table Mountain, Hout Bay and beyond! We do an awesome out-and-back hike to the summit passing initially over shifting sand dunes, then through granite and sand fynbos before encountering our more familiar sandstone fynbos in the upper reaches. Diverse vegetation types shall result in a field day for lovely botanical delights. A late-morning coffee break at the top will be enjoyed where we'll also find a pocket of indigenous forest and interesting cracks in the rock outcrop which can be explored.
For the adventurous hiker keen on some rock scrambling.
