DSK Ubuntu Talent Fund

About

Meaning of Ubuntu: "I am because we are. We are all one."

As parents, we all want the best for our children. We want to give them the best possible start in life so that they may pursue their dreams and become balanced, confident and successful young adults.

Sadly, only a minority of families in South Africa can afford to pay towards a quality holistic education, let alone extra tuition to nurture a child's talent.

The Ubuntu Fund was established by the German International School Cape Town to help benefit learners from low income backgrounds.

Help us support more children in their pursuit of interests and passions they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford by donating to one of the following development programmes:

  • Academic and leadership development
  • Talent development
  • Study trip and exchange programmes

Through generous donations in the past, the DSK was able to support talented learners with professional tutoring in singing, learning to play the clarinet , ballet, piano & guitar lessons. Some of the donations were set aside for the school's regular cultural exchange with Bremen in Germany, however those had to be put on hold due to Covid-related travel restrictions.

(Due to privacy rights of supported learners and families, actual case studies and names can't be shared.)

Please note: We will gladly issue you a donation receipt on request.
