ABOUT

Bullying is a reality across schools in SA. Unfortunately, it often starts at a very young age and if not addressed, can have devastating results.

This webinar aims to address preventative and curative strategies which can be used by parents, teachers and therapists, to equip children for difficult interpersonal challenges, including bullying. It includes advice, strategies and knowledge about various situations and settings in which these challenges may be encountered, including the ever-growing exposure to the cyberspace, where bullying often takes place from behind the screen.

The knowledge and strategies covered in this session is effective, and can easily be implemented by parents and professionals who wish to explore, discover and mobilise the innate resilience in every child they encounter.

Join us for an insightful webinar on bullying, presented by Occupational Therapist, Ananja de Lange, on how to victim-proof your child. In this session aimed at parents and teachers, she will discuss:

•         What is bullying and what it is not

•         Types of Bullying

•         How to develop socio-emotional skills in your children

•         Setting up a safe environment and the limits thereof

•         Why children bully others and what to do with a bully

•         Empowering children to deal with bullies and avoid being bullied
