ABOUT
Join us at Tranquilitas Adventure Farm in breathtaking Waterval Boven for a weekend of all-mountain adventure. Activities on the agenda include Mountain Biking, Rock Rally style Sport Climbing and Trail Running – there’s something for everyone!
Come along and compete, join one of our skills courses or simply enjoy a weekend of sun and psych.
No tickets will be sold on the day so make sure you get your entry tickets through Quicket before you come. Ticket sales close on Friday 10 September at 6pm. No ticket, no entry to Tranquilitas.
Competition Format:
Participants can compete in all three disciplines, or pick one or two, ticket price will remain the same at R160 per person to enter.
Winners will be based on the fastest times to complete the MTB and Trail Running designated routes and the Rock Rally scoring system for climbing in your chosen category.
Spectators:
If you are coming along to cheer your loved one on or belay your buddy and not competing, you do not need pay the entrance fee, spectators entrance is free but you will need to “buy” a free ticket on Quicket to get entry to Tranquilitas. No ticket no entry. If you plan to climb or cycle for fun, you will need to purchase an activity permit at the Tranquilitas reception.

- Some Mountain Sprog (Aged 17 and under, competing in 1-2 disciplines)
- All Mountain Sprog (Aged 17 and under, competing in all 3 disciplines)
- Some Mountain Open (Aged 18 +, competing in 1-2 disciplines)
- All Mountain Open (Aged 18 +, competing in all 3 disciplines)
Some Mountain discipline:
Complete 1 to 2 of your Mountain specialities (RUN / MTB / CLIMB) between 8:30 and sunset on Saturday 11 September
- Sprog: 6km trail run / 12km MTB / climb as many sport routes (handicapped on scoring system)
- Open: 12km trail run / 18km MTB /climb as many sport routes (handicapped on scoring system)
All Mountain triathlon:
Complete all three disciplines (RUN / MTB / CLIMB) between 8:30 on Saturday 11 September and 9:00 on Sunday 12 September (no competing will be allowed at night, only between sunrise and sunset on the respective days)
- Junior: 4km trail run / 7km MTB / climb at least 2 sport routes in your grades (handicapped on scoring system)
- Open: 6km run / 12km MTB / climb at least 4 sport routes in your grades (handicapped on scoring system)
Fun prizes for: Best Dressed, Most Psyched, Biggest Whipper or fall
MTB and Trail Run times will be logged on Strava; Sport Climbing will be scored according to the Rock Rally handicap system

Programme:
Saturday 11 September
- Arrive on Friday or early Saturday morning for registration*
* Registration opens on Friday from 18:00-19:00 and on Saturday from 7:00 - 8:00
- 7:00-7:45: Warm up yoga class in the campsite (Free)
- 08:00–08:30: Competition briefing and send off at the Tranquilitas lapa
- 8:30: Competition start (R160 entry)
- 10:00–13:00: MTB skills course (R450 per person)
- 10:00 - 12:00: Trail Running technique course (R300 per person)
- 14:00 - 17:00: Intro to Rock Climbing course (R450 per person)
- Sunset (17:51) - all competing ends
- Bring and braai at the campsite fire pits (beers will be available for purchase)
Sunday 12 September
- Sunrise (6:00) - All Mountain competitors may continue competing
- 7:00-8:00: Recovery yoga class (Free)
- 9:00: All Mountain competition ends
- 10:00: Competition Prize-giving in the lapa
- 09:00–12:00: Campsite Fun Games (Free)
Costs:
- Entry fee for competition: R160 per person*
*This is a flat rate for all competitors, regardless of how many or which categories you wish to compete in. Includes activity permit fees.
- All Mountain Festival shirt: R250 (3/4 baseball style tee, olive green sleeves with melange grey middle)
- Courses: R300 - R450 per person
- Various accommodation options available at Tranquilitas from R100 per night for camping up to R2,200 for the exquisite Max tents for the weekends stay.
- Spectator entrance is free but spectators must register by purchasing a free spectator ticket on Quicket
