BLAME IT ON THE BOOGIE is a toe tapping, foot stomping, booty shaking show brought to you by RBL Productions. It is light-hearted and an opportunity to let your hair down. After the year we’ve have, we certainly need lots of fun and music in our lives again – LIVE IN THEATRE!


Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd, Madeegha Anders and Cole Adams will take you on an Abba trip from memory lane to an uptown funk of Bruno Mars. Book now to enjoy 90 minutes of carefree, let loose, shake-what your-mama-gave-ya kinda party time!


THE ARTISTS:


MADEEGHA ANDERS is celebrating her 50th year in show business and has performed on many stages around the world. She was lead actress / singer in ‘District 6 - The Musical’. She started singing at the age of 4 and was 17 years old when she made her professional singing debut in Swaziland, with the late Dr Taliep Petersen and a group of singers, dancers and musicians in a musical called ‘Carnival ala District Six’. Since then she has performed on countless stages in South Africa and abroad. She is most known for playing the lead female role in the hit Musical ‘District 6’ which played in theatres across South Africa as well as in London and at the Edinburgh Festival. After some years off stage, focusing on family life, Madeegha returned to her ‘first love’ in 2016 – entertaining her audiences.


RAMAINE BARREIRO-LLOYD: The Diva of Divas and the queen of Bling! Her entertaining style and gigantic personality will have you enthralled from the minute she steps up on stage. Ramaine, at the age of 5, was already performing with a live band on the nightclub circuit in Cape Town. She starred in her first major production, ‘Bugsy Malone’, at the age of 9. At the age of 12 she joined forces with Emo Adams, Alistair Izobell and Luqmaan Adams to form the group ‘Nu Fancy’ which toured South Africa along with The Rockets and PJ Powers. Ramaine is best known as the ‘Tina Turner’ of South Africa, boasting powerhouse vocals and a sassy on-stage presence, After 38 years in the industry, performing locally and abroad, she will bring her signature sizzle to ‘Blame it on the Boogie’.


COLE ADAMS is a 21 year old multi-talented performing artist from Cape Town with a stage presence that will knock your socks off and keep you rocking! His sleek moves and ability to entertain young and old is what makes him unique. Cole started performing at the age of nine and has performed in a number of theatre productions all across the country. Cole paid tribute to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, James Brown and Lionel Richie as member of the cast of the Barnyard Theatre group’s Legends Live, Live in Vegas and Iconic productions. He recently returned from a tour in the Canary Islands where he was part of a Bruno Mars tribute show for a period of 8 months. Cole’s music genres include Pop, R&B and Jazz.
