AROK NPO CARE CENTRE

About

The full name of the Organisation is "A Random act Of Kindness" also formally known as “AROK” organization was established on the 27th of April 2016 by young determined youth. It is self funded and by this we mean that for every initiative or project is reliant on donations we receive but mostly from the pockets of the members in the form of “membership fees”

We are cognizant of the plight that some of the Eastern Cape communities face due to unemployment. At the moment the Organization is using funds collected from the individuals who are part of AROK and small donations from people willing to assist as we have not received formal funding.

We therefore decided that we would give back with the little that we have to bring about change to the destitute communities. Our main focus is Children’s Homes, Old Age Homes, Community and Social Initiatives and even Correctional Services Centres. We are determined to improve the Eastern Cape communities while we push youth development at large. In the near future we plan to broaden our organization throughout South Africa as a whole. It is our intention to continue with the work AROK does on a bigger scale, with the aim of trying to ensure a better life for all.

?Address some of the structural causes of poverty and its related injustices by providing basic human needs;

?To assist in the advancement of women and youth by giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty;

?To assist the advancement of life-long learning by assisting the underprivileged adults to learn to read and write through certified ABET programmes and empower them with like skills that will uplift them from their extreme poverty;

?To address the impact of HIV and AIDS in our communities; and

?To contribute to an agricultural development programmes.

? Opening a Centre, that Eastern Cape is lacking, to assist us to achieve all these listed above.

AROK has been doing all preparations at our private homes then transporting it to the communities we have been working with. If we are to grow and expand our reach and services on a broader scale as proposed in this Constitution, we will need bigger facilities and premises to operate from.

As a short term, we like to set up Containers different suitable locations within the underpiveleged communities where we will cook for the children on a weekly basis. We will dedicate Sundays for adults.

For a long term approach, we are in need of a more permanent space to operate from.

All these need support, partnership, investment and funding of over R500 000.00
