MTB event for Primary School Children


This event is aimed at Primary School learners who are interested in taking part in the Spur Series and would like to get a feel for it.


This event has a cap of 100 participants and will be on a first come, first served basis. Entries will be only be valid through this platform and will end on Wednesday, 12 May 2021.


This will be a very laid back event and it is simply there for the children to get an idea of what to expect. No official times will be kept, and no podium or awards ceremony will be held.


The event will not be sanctioned by Cycling South Africa or Overberg Cycling and all participants and spectators attend at their own risk.


EVENT DETAILS:

  • Sunday, 16 May 2021- first race at 09:00
  • Registration and practice laps from 08:00
  • No awards ceremonies
  • All spectators and competitors to wear a mask when not racing.
  • AGE GROUPS:
  • Sub-Nippers (7-8yrs) (10:00) (4km - 2 laps)
  • Nippers (9-10yrs) 10:30 (4km - 2 laps)
  • Sprogs (11-12yrs) 11:00 (6km - 3 Laps)
  • Sub-Juniors (13-14yrs) 11:30 (8km - 4 laps)
  • DISTANCES: (approximately)
  • Sub-Nippers - 4km (2 laps) (10 min/lap)
  • Nippers - 4km (2 laps) (9 min/lap)
  • Sprogs 6km (3 laps) (8min/lap)
  • Sub-Juniors (4 Laps) (7min/lap)
  • NO TIME will be kept
  • This event will not count toward any official ranking system within the CSA cup series
