(guitar) - on Sunday May 2 at 3pm.

Mike Hoole and Titia Blake, resident musicians in the departure lounge at Rovos Rail, have been delighting everyone with their music since they teamed up in 1997. They are on the preferred suppliers list of every major hotel in the Western Cape. Using a battery-powered PA, they are adaptable and can play in remote places such as a rocky outcrop in Bushman’s Kloof, Tswalo Lodge ,a secluded beach along the West Coast, a yacht moored outside Clifton beach... as well as intimate venues such as the Fynbos Gardens at the 12 Apostles Hotel or the private dining room on top of

the Westin Grand.

They have performed in most of the concert venues in the country, including full houses at the Baxter Morning Melodies, Artscape and Barnyard theatres .

Their programme at Christ Church includes: “La Folia” by Corelli; Two Arias from Mozart’s Magic Flute; Tarentella by Robin Hill; “Farewell to Stromness” by Peter Maxwell Davies; Spanish Dance by Manuel de Falla; “Arnandos’ Rumba” and “Spain” by Chick Corea; “One Note Samba” by Carlos Jobim and “Special Star” by Mango Groove.

Tickets for 90 attendees are R130 and online viewing tickets are R80, either from Quicket or by contacting Anne on 082 218 0100.

Titia Blake was first violin for the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra. She has performed chamber music almost as long as she has been playing the violin. A gifted teacher, she has an outreach programme in Masiphumelele.

Michael Hoole has performed with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra, as well as representing South Africa in international competitions. He has recorded for the SABC and has toured South Africa, Namibia and Europe.
